Like many Web sites, www.photility.com collects log files as part of its hosting infrastructure. These files capture timing and page references of visitors to the site. This is a standard procedure with hosting companies and a common part of maintaining a web service. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp. This information is used to investigate issues, analyze trends, administer the site, and track navigation activity on the site. IP addresses, and other such information is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
Apps running on mobile devices sometimes crash and the device may share a crash report with the app developer indirectly through the operating system company's web site. The crash report contains a "call stack" which provides a picture of what the app was doing at the exact time of the crash to help pinpoint exactly what went wrong. The report may also contain log files that provide more detail about what the app was doing prior to the crash, to help diagnose the cause of the crash. We make every effort to ensure that the information written to the log files does not contain personally identifiable information. Any crash reports we receive are only used for the express purpose of diagnosing and fixing an app crash, after which they are deleted from our systems. Your device should ask you if you want to share this crash information with app developers, and you can configure that in your device settings. Consult the web site for your device to learn more about how to manage that.
You can learn more about how your crash dumps and app usage telemetry is managed for your mobile device or personal computer on that company's website. Here are some starting points:www.photility.com does not directly make use of cookies for any purpose; however it does make indirect use of them through third-party Analytics and Advertising services. www.photility.com has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their respective advertisements and links that appear on www.photility.com and which are sent directly to your browser. They automatically receive your computer's IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on the site.
www.photility.com uses Google Analytics service to gather statistical information about site usage, including landing pages, time spent on each page, pages visited within the site, and repeat visits to the site. Google provides javascript that runs as part of each page load, which reports this basic telemetry back to Google. This kind of script is commonly referred to as a "web beacon" or "page tag". This information is used to help understand which content is seeing more activity with our visitors so that we can improve our content. Google Analytics may use a set of cookies to collect information and report website usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Google or the website. In addition to gathering website usage statistics, Google can also use this Analytics data to help show more relevant ads on Google properties (like Google Search) and across the web on sites that use Google's Advertising services. None of this information is stored on www.photility.com.
www.photility.com uses Google AdSense service for advertising banners and occasional full-screen ads presented on mobile devices while navigating within the site. As part of serving relevant ads to a web site, Google provides javascript that runs as part of each page load, which sends basic information to Google in order to retrieve content that is displayed in the ad. Google's advertising service uses the same basic Analytics telemetry collected across all of the sites where its service is used, in order to match ads with the browsing and searching patterns based on your computer's IP address or cookies stored on your computer.
Photility Mobile Apps use Google's AdMob mobile ad framework for delivering ads to the application. In-app purchase options are available to remove the ads. Similar to web ads, the mobile ad framework consists of some code provided by Google or its partners that runs when start the app. The app sends basic information to the AdMob network while retrieving ad content to display in the ad. This information is not personally identifiable but may include a unique identifier for your device, its current IP address, operating system, language, and other general characteristics. This data is then used to select the most relevant ads to display in the app.
Through their portals these advertising services also provide the developer with statistical information about the ads that were served to the web site or app, with pivots that may include daily/weekly/monthly totals, types of ads, whether the ads were clicked, and may also provide marketing profile information like gender, age group, etc (where the service has that information).
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to www.photility.com and/or other sites on the Internet.
You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad services for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices. www.photility.com's privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, advertisers or web sites.
